Gauseva: Where Compassion Becomes Action
At Chhaya Animal Hospital, we practice Gauseva—the selfless, compassionate service to cows, bulls, and calves. We are proud to be a 100% non–milking gaushala, dedicated solely to the care of rescued and abandoned cattle. We do not exploit our animals for milk or profit. Every life here is valued, nurtured, and protected—regardless of age, gender, or productivity.
Gauseva at Chhaya
At Chhaya Animal Hospital, we witness the transformative power of Gauseva every day. Our rescue efforts focus on male calves abandoned by the dairy industry and female cows and bulls left to suffer once they become injured, ill, or are no longer productive. Our dedicated Baal Gaushala provides specialized care for abandoned male calves, while our expanded facilities offer rehabilitation for injured and rescued cattle. With the support of Parasdham Kolkata and other organizations, we’ve been able to enhance our facilities for the care and protection of Gauvansh.
