Be Their Guardian: Passively Adopt an Animal at Chhaya
At Chhaya Animal Hospital, we rescue numerous animals from illegal transportation, accidents, and abandonment. Our Baal Gaushala, a special shelter for abandoned male calves, and our expanding facilities for Gauvansh (cows) provide safe haven for these gentle beings who have nowhere else to go.
What is Passive Adoption?
Passive adoption means you become a guardian and supporter of a rescued cow without taking the animal home. The cow permanently stays at Chhaya under our professional care while you provide the love and financial support they need. You cannot take the cow to your home – they remain in our sanctuary for life.
Benefits of Passive Adoption
-
No physical responsibility: The cow stays permanently at our professional facility - you cannot take them home
-
Professional care guaranteed: Our expert veterinary team and caretakers provide 24/7 care
-
Meaningful impact: You directly contribute to their daily care and wellbeing
-
Perfect for urban supporters: Ideal for those who want to help but cannot house large animals
-
Give them a second chance: Many of our cows have survived horrific conditions—broken limbs, deliberate injuries, abandonment, or trafficking.
-
Support traditional values: Gauseva (service to cows) has deep roots in Indian culture.
-
Make a lasting difference: Your passive adoption helps provide food, shelter, and medical care for these animals for their lifetime.
-
Create a meaningful connection: Experience the joy of caring for an animal from afar, receiving updates and knowing you’re making a real difference.
