Individual Volunteering

Volunteer Requirements

Age Guidelines

  • Children (8-12 years): Must be accompanied by adults, limited to feeding and gentle interaction
  • Teenagers (13-17 years): Can participate in most activities with parental consent
  • Adults (18+ years): Full access to all volunteer opportunities
  • Senior Citizens: Welcome with activities suited to physical capabilities

Basic Requirements

  • Compassion for Animals: Genuine care and respect for animal welfare
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform assigned tasks safely
  • Reliability: Commitment to scheduled volunteer times
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with staff and other volunteers
  • Following Instructions: Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines

Volunteer Schedules

Daily Opportunities (7:00AM- 6:00PM)

  • Morning Shift: 7:00AM - 12:00PM (Feeding, cleaning, medical support)
  • Afternoon Shift: 12:00PM - 6:00PM (Socialization, maintenance, outreach)
  • Weekend Programs: Extended hours with special activities

Flexible Options

  • Weekly Commitment: Same day/time each week
  • Monthly Service: One weekend per month
  • Holiday Volunteering: Special festival and holiday programs
  • Project-based: Specific campaigns or construction projects
